Home For a Holiday
Well, I am officially on break for Thanksgiving. In my first few hours home, I went to dinner with Nathan, checked out his new home and bothered Brad. Today was just one lazy day. I watched college football and fixed my mom’s computer, well actually I replaced it. Not much has changed, but sitting in my room just doesn’t seem nearly as fun as it used to. Tomorrow, I have to go to work at the Santa set at the mall and on Monday we are going to go bother my former teachers at my high school.
Thanksgiving Feast: D2 Style
We rounded up the usual suspects and went down to get some food at D2 because tonight they were having a Thanksgiving Feast. The place was swamped, it took us roughly 30 minutes to get through the line. It was good though: turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, cranberry sauce, crab imperial (??), pumpkin bread, carrot cake and hot apple cider.
Well, almost everything has been turned in. The bridge for engineering, the outline and annotated bibliography, and the Alice project. All that I have left to do this week is a 10 page research paper and take my linear algebra quiz. Then theres the UMD vs VT game.
Well, I should probably get to writing my research paper. Have fun not writing a paper.
Cherry Coke
I’m sitting here procrastinating on writing the outline and annotated bibliography, sipping on one of lifes true pleasures, Cherry Coke. I got my bridge turned in and I believe we did well, not perfect, but good enough for me. I know now that partial credit is my savior. Alice is going good as well, we are going along the lines of Scorched Earth, but in three dimensions.
Seeing everyone at home will be very good for me, as it has been a while since I have seen my friends. I am defintely going to see my teachers at my former High School and bother them in the middle of class. It will be good to tell them how much the prepared me for college (since none of them can be blamed for my engineering woes).
Well, so goes another day.
Good Dinner, Even Better Company
Dinner tonight was very good. I went to Boudreaux’s (or however you spell it) with Lindsey and we had a good dinner; of course I forgot my wallet and Hokie Passport wasn’t working, so we possibly got a free meal. I think my group got the bridge done for Engineering and now my McGyver group has to work on our Alice video game, which we completely switched, but we are in good spirits. Anyways, this week is going to be hard with all the due dates: bridge is due Monday, outline and annotated bibliography is due Tuesday, the Alice video game is due Wednesday, and a rough draft of my research paper is due Thursday.
Wish me luck!
First Post
Hmm, yeah im going to try and keep up with it. Just writing down various things that happen during my day. Today was THE LAST DAY of MatLAB worksheets in Math 1205, and well this is a very very good thing. We went to the library for English today, and while what we did sucked, at least I got to hang out with my funny friend. That always makes English better, and frankly that makes it worth waking up at 8:30…or 9:00 if I sleep in…oops.
Well I should be asleep because tomorrow I’m going to breakfast with Paul and Jason, Nick isn’t coming because he’s lazy…oh and he sucks at life..
