The Skaldic Society

with one comment

A friend of mine decided to start up a page for himself and a few of his friends to publish some of their short stories and various other writings. He wants it to turn into a site for authors to collaborate and contstuctively criticize each other. If you believe you have any talent as an author and wish to join them, go ahead and take a look at their site. Give Norm an e-mail if you are interested in joining.

New Puppy

without comments

No, I didn’t get a new puppy, but my sister did. She is a “blue” (I know she is gray…) female Weimaraner. Her name is Cabo, as in Cabo Wabo tequilla and Cabo San Lucas. She flew in on Saturday and we went to pick her up. She was skiddish at first, to be expected after a plane ride for a puppy at nine weeks old. However, she did warm up to people. At first, she loved to just be sitting in anyone’s lap and just sleep. She did play around with Stoley though, and Stoley is reacting fairly well to a new dog, considering he thinks he is a prince. Hopefully, she’ll adjust to living with Nicole, Nick and Stoley rather quickly so Stoley will have someone to play with.

New Theme

with 4 comments

You shouldn’t notice too much difference, but I’ve switched to the default Kubrick theme and decided to use my own images. So you should see some pictures from my trips to Greece, San Francisco, and various other vacations. Expect more and more pictures as time goes on.

Busy Week

with 3 comments

I had a very busy week at work. Lots of moving people, which is a job I thoroughly enjoy. I find it to be better than working in the server room or something of the sort, simply because I get to work with people. I really do like talking to all of the people I help move. A few of the guys I helped move were very nice and thankful for moving their equipment as fast as I do. As I look back on the few weeks I have worked there so far, the first week started with a boring first day and then escalated that very week and has stayed constant with me working fairly hard. I enjoy working hard as it makes the day go by much faster. Speaking of that, how do you make your day at work go faster?

Saabs Finally Don’t Suck

without comments

I hate Saabs, or at least I used to. I hated the general design of their cars, their boxy look and feel. The unappealing front-end and the nothing-special rear. So why am I no longer running in disgust from the very shadow of Saabs? Their brand new design. Apparently, the new design takes its cues from the 2001 9-X concept. I think the whole buying of individuality didn’t work for Saab because people want to be orignial, but not orignial and ugly (I have no explantion for the VW Beetle). Well in fear of receving threats from Autocar Online I’m just going to post links to their site so you can take a look at Saab’s brand new look. Hopefully they see increased numbers with this design and continue to innovate and evolve.
