After mul­ti­ple inter­cep­tions we man­aged to beat Ohio, forty-​five to noth­ing. Hmm, I am notic­ing a pat­tern here…

I started read­ing 1984 by George Orwell a few days ago and I am about halfway through and I have found some quotes worth keep­ing.

“Then for three dread­ful days she did not appear at all. His whole mind and body seemed to be afflicted with an unbear­able sen­si­tiv­ity, a sort of trans­parency, which made every move­ment, ever sound, every con­tact, every word that he had to speak or listen to, an agony. Gah, the punk scene has been very stag­nant lately. So I’ve had to go else­where for my new music fix. Just snagged a copy of 311’s “Don’t Tread on Me”. So far, it’s a great album with a lot of poten­tial. Very mellow and very clean with great melodies.

A friend gave me a copy of Ted Leo & the Phar­ma­cists’ “Shake the Sheets”, which is just excep­tional. I was very pleased with their sound and vocals. All the songs just have a great unique sound that is very upbeat and happy.

Another album I’ve been toying with is Gorillaz’s “Demon Days”. A great chill out album, which are great for work and sleep. I need to listen to it more before I can pass judge­ment, but I do like it thus­far.

That game was brutal for Duke. They man­aged to remain score­less, despite our best efforts. Vick played a great game and Beamer man­aged to put in some new guys and some second stringers.
