Penmarks
I often end up with little sayings that float through my head at all times of the day, sometimes these instantly turn into a writing of some sort. However, they typically end up on the left page of my notebook destined to wait until I can come up with more for that particular writing. So instead of just leaving them in my notebook, I have decided to being to post a few. I guess I’ll post them as they come to me.
The rusted gears of ebb and flow whine as their momentum slows and they grind to a halt.
Thanksgiving Break
Man, Thanksigiving break has been fairly boring so far. Got some clothes and new shoes that I needed, did some work on the Santa set. Took some pictures as you can plainly see. I am looking forward to next week which will be our last full week. After that we have a half week and then exams start. I only have three, so it won’t be that bad. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving Break.
Oh and by the way, we beat University of North Carolina pretty darn bad, sorry guys.
Taking Pictures
Stoley being his cute self, originally uploaded by Wes Baker.
Taking pictures at Nicole’s house last night, Stoley decided to pose nicely for me.
Writing for a Year
Well, last night I noticed that I have kept my blog for a little over a year now. I am happy that I have gone on this long, and I expect to keep going.
In other news, I am home for Thanksgiving break. I get to work with my sister a bit and see everyone, so that’ll be fun. It is good to get a break, not that my schedule is very strenuous after withdrawing from my programming course. Oh and the trip up here kinda sucked. Hit traffic before Roanoke and wasted about 45 minutes. Oh well, no traffic anywhere else.
The Cascades
Well, this was probably one of my first truly non-wasted Saturdays. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy doing nothing sometimes, but come Monday it sometimes feels like I could have done a lot more. Well we decided that we were going down to the Cascades, which is a hiking trail in Pembroke, VA. The main attraction at the Cascades is the 66 foot waterfall at the end of the trail. I got a lot of great pictures and generally had a good time. Once we got back, we bummed around for a bit. For dinner, Andrew, Derek and I went to Wendy’s. We came back and played a sweet game of Starcraft. After that we generally did nothing and just had a good time.
