Swing Life Away

without comments

by Rise Against

Am I loud and clear, or am I breaking up?
Am I still your charm, or am I just bad luck?
Are we getting closer, or are we just getting more lost?

I’ll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let’s compare scars, I’ll tell you whose is worse
Let’s unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words

We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I’ll slave till the end,
I won’t cross these streets until you hold my hand

I’ve been here so long, I think that it’s time to move
The winter’s so cold, summer’s over too soon
Let’s pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow

I’ve got some friends, some that I hardly know
But we’ve had some times, I wouldn’t trade for the world
We chase these days down with talks of the places that we will go

We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I’ll slave till the end,
I won’t cross these streets until you hold my hand….until you hold my hand

I’ll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let’s compare scars, I’ll tell you whose is worse
Let’s unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words

We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I’ll slave till the end,
I won’t cross these streets until you hold my hand

Shakespearian Romance

without comments

You that choose not by the view
Chance as fair, and chose as true.
Since this fortune falls to you,
Be content and seek no new.
If you be well pleased with this
And hold your fortune for your bliss,
Turn you where your lady is,
And claim her with a loving kiss.

-Bassanio Act 3, Scene 2, Lines 131-138

I have plenty of writing in my notebook waiting to be shown. I would put it up here if it weren’t for the fact that I know certain people are looking at it. Oh well, if you see me, I should have my notebook on me, feel free to ask to see my writing.

Walking the Path

without comments

Went out for a nice walk on a nice day. Took plenty of great pictures, ended up with around 300 shots, which leads me to around a total of 3200 shots! Played with my 30mm a lot more and got some great shots. I was out for around two hours and walked around the farm near Foxridge. I got very close to some donkeys and cows and managed to snap up some sheep with my 70-300mm. The cows just didn’t move, but the donkeys came to the fence because there was a mother and her son feeding them apples. I had a pleasant conversation with her about photography and what I do after I take the shot.

SheShas

without comments

Well, She-Sha’s was awesome last night. Gaskins was great, and SubK and the other DJs were decent. It was pretty good to get out and just relax for a bit and listen to some damn good music. Gets the mind off of other things, especially with certain days looming in the near future. It’ll be another year without someone for the day which everyone should have someone.
