Waiting in the car
It’s no secret among my friends that I am the youngest in our year. While the majority of my friends are 21 and getting there, I still have around eleven months to go. That’s right I turn 21 midway through my last year of college. It’s pretty frustrating I guess, mainly because I see no difference in maturity between us, just a law or two is in my way.
Make no mistake, this is a college town and it’s certainly not dry. However, it would be nice to be able to go into a bar with my friends and get a drink or two. Nothing crazy, more mundane and routine.
Jet’s Shine On
When I first got this album I was pretty uninterested in anything but “Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is” (which is arguably one of the better songs). However, sometimes the mood strikes me to try again. So, I started to listen to the song again and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the songs on this album. Sure, they have the current “Alternative” sound going on, but at the same time, some of the songs have very Beatle-esque sounds, such as “Bring It On Back”. Grab it and give it another shot.
Unoriginality
I’m tired, tired of the unoriginality I’m seeing in everything. Every time I go to look at Lifehacker, I feel as if I have seen that small bit of news at least three times that day. And this isn’t just a Lifehacker thing, tons of blogs do this and they feel that somewhere, somehow along the way there is some kind of value added. Well, no not really; sure, there’s usually a new quip about this fancy new website, but in the end it’s a picture or a logo and the link. This year I’m going to try to keep my content as original as possible. Plus I’m going to try and write, but who knows, it may not happen.
