I just can’t stay with one host for too long can I? No, I sup­pose I can’t. Well, if you have been fol­low­ing the news on Dreamhost, you have noticed that a lot of people are jump­ing ship because of their waning reli­ablity. So, I jumped as well and man­aged to land on a faster and sleeker ship, or rather an orange. I decided to go with A Small Orange. With the speed that I have noticed so far, I have no prob­lem rec­om­mend­ing this host. Let me know if you find any issues, the only one I have run into thus­far is the prob­lem with the Flickr Gallery.

Okay, so now the Flickr Gallery is up, but I just have to let you know how awe­some the ASO sup­port is.

3:09 PM: I sent out a sup­port request.

3:20 PM: I recieved a response that they were fixing the issue.

3:29 PM: The issue is fixed.

As I am sure you have noticed, there are a few changes going on. Most notably would be the new theme. I rather like the sim­plic­ity of it. Also, the pho­to­blog has recieved a new theme as well, which is pretty sim­i­lar in color to the Word­press theme.

On the back­end, random things have been updated here and there; mainly, I have moved myself to a new host. So, we will see how that goes. Thanks for stick­ing with me dur­ring the trans­fer.

Some goofy stuff is going on with the site. I am seeing if my host can do any­thing, if not I will prob­a­bly be switch­ing ASAP. The host is Sur­passHost­ing and so far has been fairly good, no com­plaints for what I am paying. Con­sid­er­ing what I am using, I might just tack on to some­one else’s host­ing, namely another web­site I run. We’ll see what hap­pens.

EDIT: Well every­thing should be back to normal, the sup­port at Sur­pass was good, not great, but good. They did fix it, but the tech did get some­thing that I would con­sider rather obvi­ous messed up. He was quite earnest and apolo­getic about it, so I can for­give that.

Yeah, I real­ize that I already show a lot of photos on the front page, and that I have a Flickr account. But I wanted to try out some Pho­to­blog soft­ware for a friend and ended up just keep­ing it. I’ll be putting up photos at random, and it has a RSS feed if you just want to see my pic­tures.
