She Really Is

Comments

“She Is” by The Fray

Do not get me wrong I cannot wait for you to come home
For now you’re not here and I’m not there, it’s like we’re on our own
To figure it out, consider how to find a place to stand
Instead of walking away and instead of nowhere to land

This is going to break me clean in two
This is going to bring me close to you

She is everything I need that I never knew I wanted
She is everything I want that I never knew I needed

It’s all up in the air and we stand still to see what comes back down
I don’t know where it is, I don’t know when, but I want you around
When it falls in place with you and I, we go from if to when
Your side and mine are both behind it’s indication

This is going to bring me clarity
This’ll take the heart right out of me

She is everything I need that I never knew I wanted
She is everything I want that I never knew I needed

This is going to bring me to my knees
I just want to hold you close to me

She is everything I need that I never knew I wanted
She is everything I want that I never knew I needed

Happy

Comments

Sometimes I wonder what I do differently to make my life better. I always hear people complaining about their lives around here and pretty much anywhere. What is the difference between us? It might just be their paradigm, maybe they are pessimists or even optomists, maybe its a matter of the music I listen to… Who knows really. All I know is that I am in a very happy mood. I don’t think I could ask for anything at this moment.

Heres a song thats making me happy at the moment:

No Self Control by The Planet Smashers

I was told I had my senses, I was doing fine
But that’s all changed, no recollection
Those days I left behind.
You’re in my head, it’s worse when you’re in front of me
When I see you I can’t do anything
Your so drop dead I loose all my motor skills
You see me falling are you laughing?

Self Control no self control need no motivation
Self Control no self control need no provocation

Can’t stop my thoughts, they follow you everywhere
You move so fast that I get dizzy
And now I trip when I walk next to you
How can I manage this affliction that you’ve given me
You’re in my brain, swirling like a chemical
You leave me on the floor sputtering
The thermostat is useless when I’m with you 98 degrees and I’m still trembling!!!

I can’t move forward
I can’t look back
I’ve been crippled by your love attack
It’s deep within me it’s like a disease
Your burned into my brain I’m losing all my Self Control

Everything Shines

Comments

Some songs manage to describe exactly how I’m feeling.

Everything Shines by Great Big Sea

All we loosers stand in line,
just waiting for our time
Broken angel take that plane
And finger paint the sky
Till everything shines
Everything shines
Everything shines
Everything shines

Sick and Sad…Again?

Comments

Theres a whole bunch of crap that happened between Catch 22 and Streetlight Manifesto. Streetlight Manifesto spawned from an amazingly talented band — Catch 22 — when some bickering came to be or something else…I’m not sure. Anyways, they are both good bands with similar sounds.

Yet, Streetlight Manifesto went where it should not have gone. They are releasing an album called “Keasby Nights” which will be a DIRECT copy of the original “Keasby Nights” by Catch 22. I don’t care who sounds better or if the lead singer from Catch 22 left for Streetlight Manifesto in the mess, this is utter crap. I like punk and ska covers of songs because its a different twist. This album is not a collection of covers, its a directo copy of an album.

My recommendation to people would be to NOT buy Streetlight Manifesto’s version of the album, but to go buy Catch 22’s, which happens to be the original. It’s a great album, but don’t buy the copy, buy the original.

Apparently this was meant to be a remastering of the album because they didn’t like the quality of recording. My opinion on the matter is, make new music and leave what is good alone.
